Whisky Reviews for Longmorn 2008 Cl
5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 84.00 points
- Fine distillate, but there is nearly no wood influence. But nonetheless interesting to taste.
- Judging by the color not very special, but the scent is very fresh, sweet and fruity (tropical). The taste contains clear bourbon barrel influences such as slightly woody, sweetness and some vanilla. The aftertaste has some bitterness and spiciness in it.
- A decent longmorn. Pretty interesting after ten years.
Baked bananas, not that fruity but more creamy. Big nose with burned toast, vanilla cake. A dry leaf or hop sidenote wich gives it a little unclean side. Grains and bread.
Sour citrus fruit like grapefruit. Broad mouthfeeling because of chillipepper and creamy fruit. Bananashake, orange and tangerine. Caramel and dark beer.
Dry and peppery. A little nutmeg, brioche and some wooddust.
Aromas of fresh apples, pears, sweet plums, semi-sweet white wine, cream crackers, orange blossom honey and a slightly mineral touch.
Tones of whipped cream, orange cake, custard pie, candied fruit, multigrain bars and sweet wine.
The aftertaste is long and sweet with notes of fruit salad, sponge dough, spicy oak and cigar ash.
