Very nice malt with special notes that you do not often find, very good and the alcohol is great.
    • Nose
Nice nutmeg and pickled grapes, chamomile and violet notes, pear, green apple, quince, light honey and almonds, turmeric and fresh ginger
    • Taste
Cinnamon, nutmeg, anise, grapes, coconut, birch sap, fresh ginger, papaya and young pear, camphor, floral notes behind, the alcohol is well integrated, some fresh banana is also here at the end
    • Finish
Dry, cereals, camphor, ginger and nutmeg, some banana chips, long

Holy sweet sauternes, so fruity. Big on quinces, peaches, pineapple, one candied apricot and a candied slice of orange, a piece of a tobacco leaf and a touch of glue (UHU) that's quite appealing, some vegetable stock, slightly acidic, as in slightly aged balsamico vinegar and a very very minor flinty note, which acts as a spice and not as a deterrent (aka matches...sulphur... nono nothing like that). A nice assembly of a totally lucious nose that gets my mouth to water in total apprehension.
A very intense syrupy fruit bucket (more of the above fruits+raisins+touch of melon+yellow plums+mandarines) on the palate with white pepper appearing on the tail to show its alcoholic prowess. The finish leaves the image of a huge pile of freshly destoned appricots, that are somehow so light but concentrated to stay on my tongue for donkeys years, which tames the white pepper as well. This is fab.
Added 3 drops of water on the last sip. It refines and smoothes the fruitiness more into a melange than individual fruits, so rather tutti frutti, but it also subsequently gives the stage to the white pepper.
I can understand if someone likes the smoothed watered version better, though I like it raw. Sine aqua please, for me. This is certainly a dram where I'd rather like a 10cl sample to fully explore.

    3cl sample obtained @ Limburg fair 2019.

This annual Chichibu Matsuri Festival bottling, 2019 release has all, what i love from that tiny little distillery...small in size and quantity, but giants in making whisky. Really just an 9yo Single Malt? Incredible.

Smell: the aroma of nutmeg and almonds and the dark fruit of the wine, the alcohol is not strong, the red apples and the ripe oranges, put a sweet smell of salty cream on the entrance: Wow! The sensation of tannins, the burst of alcohol is accompanied by a little bit of smoke, and some are too strong.
The rhyme: lemon, lime and chocolate, with a hint of silky leather, aftertaste is dark chocolate and creamy lime cake
