Whisky Reviews for Isle of Jura 10-year-old
4 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 71.28 points
- Malty and fruity aroma, oat porridge, green apple, dry hay and flint. Vanilla sweet taste, floral, anise, pepper, malt and walnuts. Medium long, malty and floral end.
Nose is rather soft and smooth. You will
find notes of sea, salty flavors, alga and seaweeds. Additionally, some notes
of flowers, heath and fresh peat. Fruit compote is pretty obvious as well.
It starts with salt, sea flavors, light bitterness,
then is turns to sweetness and coffee. It is rather soft, light, but sea
flavors are very obvious.
Rather short, dry, a little fruity and
smoky. Unfortunately, IMHO too much water made it weak and flat.
- Light and sweet in the nose. Surprisingly sweet in the body, a world whisky without claims, but even no more.
