Whisky Reviews for Ardmore 2008 SV

- first a hint of sweet smoke with the best of the bourbon barrel: delicate vanilla. After a short while, the smoke pulls back gracefully and releases the citrus notes. Grapefruit makes it summery and the smoke reminds of charcoal. I know what I'll bring to the Whisky Grilling.
The vanilla comes back. The alcohol is noticeable without being penetrating. So 46% have to smell. It is joined by very delicate glue notes, which remind of a (very good) old Grain. Not at all unpleasant, (I do not like that otherwise). I'm looking forward to drinking.
Peppery pungency, but very fruity and honey sweet. Somehow it tingles like spray in the mouth.
The smoke plays for a while on the palate, it also penetrates a certain oak flavor. The grapefruit from the nose can also be seen again.
All in all a really tasty drop, for the price everything was done right.
