A ten year old Aberlour from Speyside, filled with moderate 40% vol. The new line is now on the market and this old bottling was once the entry into the Aberlour family. Can it still exist in early 2020?
    • Nose
      83 83
Soft sherry on the nose, a little honey, vanilla, whole milk chocolate. You can't feel the alcohol. Hazelnut cream and a slight acidity, maybe strawberry cream. A slightly malty note can also be found.
    • Taste
      80 80
Sherry, honey, fresh mint, some malt, chocolate and oak spice. Overall rather thin and not very impressive.
    • Finish
      78 78
Rather short in the finish, with sweetness on the palate, some mint and spicy oak, which leaves a slight bitter note. Not spectacular.
