    • Nose
Comprehensive, very pleasant. Vanilla notes, cotton candy, dried apple, tropical fruits, very delicate notes of the carpentry workshop, freshly sawn board, plum jam, fruit lozenges. 22
    • Taste
Moderate, moderately dry. Black pepper, oriental spices, almonds, cherry seed, tropical fruits, fruit gum, creamy caramel, oak tannins, wax. 22
    • Finish
Long, smoothly fading, with a light, pleasant bitterness of oak and a hint of menthol at the very end. 23
Delicious, balanced, drinkable bourbon without weak points. Balance 24
      Total 91

Slightly thin in this ABV with not a classic bourbon line, but a good stuff.

Restrained and sweet. Matured oak, caramel, mixed fruit jam, honey and eucalyptus.
    • Taste

Creamy. Dry oak, varnished wood, orange peel and butter popcorn.
    • Finish

      Long, spicy, citrusy, creamy.

You can probably tell am not comfortable writin bourbon notes as I have found very few bourbons I like but this one at 45% is perfect drinking strength for me to explore the flavours, I like this one, its good to try something different , I like this as much as the Pappy Van Winkle 15 year ( best of their offerings)
    • Nose
This is actually quite pleasant for a non bourbon drinker, sweet, various woods and spices, burnt brown sugar, pecan pie, treacle tart that sort of thing.
    • Taste
Creamy. spicy, woody and the spices are vibrant, some pastry notes, and then something else vibrant, like peat in a Scotch, that sort of kick and spiv=ce part of the profile and some hints of bitter orange coming through
    • Finish
Medium, length remaining spicy and lively

Shortage of the fortress, search by exposure - yet Stagg is the closest to the ideal bourbon, i.e. more there is nothing to squeeze out based on the limitations imposed by production technology and standards, all of the burned fresh oak for 15 years, the basis chooses, then - the finesse, sharpness, well, the fortress - bourbon, IMHO, love the barrel fortress, it to him and Stagga here not to outdo. In general, rejecting all the comparisons, the eagle is good for its fortress, but since the price tag differs little from Stagga, I'm afraid the choice is obvious - if you want to drink it, and not invest in collecting the entire line of antique collections, this is definitely Stagg.
    • Nose
Open, dry, spicy wood, resin, sandalwood, Indian incense, salted grape leaves, fried nuts, baklava, ether, eucalyptus.
    • Taste
Thick, saturated, oak, pitch, popcorn, tart bitter bark, peppery wave, nuts, eucalyptus, too much oak.
    • Finish
Spicy, warming, ginger, coniferous notes, oak. All that is said to taste is applicable to the finish.
