    tasted with friends over a period of 3 months. Campfire and ham smoke, very fine and not too dominant, alongside sweetness with vanilla and caramel, mineral notes of iodine, herbs, honey, hint of red fruits - creamy, oily, lining the mouth, beautiful oak spice in the long finish. GREAT Islay experience, I like it a little better than the Laphroaig 18yo enjoyed several times in parallel!

    Aroma: delicate, smoky-mineral, interspersed with wood. Further, all these components are revealed by the nuances: tar soap, smoked meat, green apple slices, moist lime, a lot of salt, walnut shells, pleasant dry wood, distantly dried berries like cranberries, light fresh menthol intersperses, Vishnevsky ointment.

    Taste: caramel sweetness, tingling spices, smoked plums and berries, berry jam, smoked brisket skin, a lot of salt and minerals, iodine, astringent walnut, oak tannins, tobacco.

    Finish: tingling and fading spices, a little pungent, walnut - wood, tar, again fat smoked brisket, brackish, Borjomi water, pleasant smooth oak tannins, longer than average.

    Rating: 89

    Bottom line: the delicate, multifaceted and well-tailored Isla! The smoky-peaty theme does not stick out and is interestingly served with smoked meats with minerals, salt and oak on a level. The balance of sweets is balanced by the dryness of minerals and oak
