Malted honey and quaker oaks. Sweet to the nose with floral senses. Cooked pear with barley, fried onions and boiled vegetables.
Marshmellows, ice cream soda, Pâte à Choux.
Sweet, fruity and luscious lemon scented vanilla cream. Malty and nutty, hint of almond, pecan and oats. Drip lemon juice on peanut butter and this is what it's like.
Moving from the body onwards to the finish brings rise to pepper, hawthorn, caramel and cinnamon. Herbal yet not harsh at the same time, its rather appealing on the tongue. Ledaig's are known for some nitty gritty harshness with raw peat fired embers and charcoal scented flavours. However this one in particular is minimal and lacking in that department.
Rather refreshing from the usual norm.
Medium to long, not overly long. Remains as sweet, spicy and nutty.
