  1. Myke scored this whisky 83 points Expert Senior

Spices and floral herbal aromas are the focus here, both in the nose and in the taste.
Water doesn't do any harm, at 58% you can experiment a little.
Personally, I like it better than the Hive, because there is more variety and it stays longer thanks to the spices.
You can buy for less than 40 euros, but you don't have to. Over 40 euros ... well, everyone has to decide for themselves.
Is he good? Yes. Is it outstanding? No. Do you have to try it? Not necessarily, first get a sample; the prices diverge quite a lot.
[85 - 81 = delicious -> get a second bottle if price is within the range]

The alcohol is better integrated here than with the hive, although this malt has a higher percentage.
Cinnamon, nutmeg and clove spices are in the foreground; Over time, a herbal note and something floral is added (as with the Hive, I have heather in my nose here).
After standing for a while, it looks sweeter than immediately after pouring it: honey and caramel appear and give it more sweetness.
With Waser: the alcohol is no longer quite as present, the spices are brought back into the light again, although the floral herbal aroma of the heather comes through again and again.
    • Taste
      83 83
very sweet in the beginning, almost even more than with the hive.
white pepper immediately lays on the tongue, but makes a creamy-viscous mouthfeel. It gets dry in the mouth quite quickly.
Seasoning and spices are well available and also linger for quite a while.
second sip: even sweeter; Honey, caramel, light fruits.
It tolerates water well, which makes it look even creamier.
    • Finish
      82 82
medium length with seasoning and spices.
Here, too, a dark chocolate on the back.

Color: pale straw. After a swirl, legs are a bit heavy and take their time to form and go down.

Spicy, some almonds, grain, grass and malty. Gets sweeter over time. Dunage warehouse, bit of smoke, and some orchard fruits. Subtle nose that hides the high abv.
    • Taste
      86 86
It takes a couple long seconds for the abv to kick off, then the creamy texture gets here. Non-salted butter, spices, dark chocolate, pepper, then a little salt.
Strangely, after a few drops of water it became a little more stinging on the medium front of the tongue while staying really creamy. But I added water to compare, even though it's a really high abv, it doesn't need water.
    • Finish
      88 88
Finale is medium long, staying creamy but mostly in the middle of the tongue, a bit less on the palate compared to the Hive. Light pepper, a little smoky and sour, and grassy.
