- Nose: Red berries, gentle smoke, a certain salty freshness is to be felt. Hints of musty wood.
Mouth: He starts lively and is still a bit wild in the mouth. Then the red berries, raisins and pleasant sweetness spread.
Finish: Dryness sets in the mouth and pepper is felt. Some smoke and oak spiciness remain. Medium long, starts strong, but then fades quite fast.
I like it a lot, the Madeira wine is very present without covering everything. With his youth he still has a lot of power and still offers the charm of Cadenhead's.
- Watermelon, strawberries, smoke, spices and a bit of salt. Rather unusual.
- Divisive whisky. Nice marriage between BenRiach and Madeira, but it's youthful for me.
Floral. Forest fruits, vanilla, raisin and orange peel.
Powerful. Peat, red apple, matured oak, pepper, honey and citruses.
Medium length, sweet, fruity.
- A sublte Madeira and taste on the palate are much to my liking. Then some longrowesque lightly peated cow stables come through in the madeira finish.
The Madeira embraces everything and the pink hue in the glas really makes me smile.
I think this is a fab combo and a fab dram and I imagine this to get better with more air in the bottle. Mine is empty now - only a 3cl sample:-(
