Deep, full sherry aromas pour out of the glass without anything musty. On the contrary, the Irishman is fruity and fresh. There are dried cranberries, raisins, plums, sweet cherries, a hint of pineapple, marzipan, brioche, some cinnamon and allspice. Even chocolate with around 70% cocoa and pipe tobacco are there. After a while, the sherry flavors recede slightly and the malt shows another, rather flowery side. Very elegant and without the slightest false note. I could smell forever.

On the tongue, the malt is not as sweet as the nose would suggest. Again full and with the typical sherry representatives, I find especially tart flavors. Dates, dried figs, raisins, pear peel, oranges, dark chocolate, espresso with a dash of milk, toasted toast, clove, clear wood influence.

Medium length with oak, honey, orange and a bit more dark chocolate.
