- Nose sweet, slightly spicy aroma, dried fruits. The taste is dark honey and custard. Aftertaste of medium duration is sweet.
- TASTING NOTE by G&M;
Colour: Dark golden.
Nose: Fresh with toasted malt notes. A hint of aromatic spices and a touch of
summer fruits - raspberries.
Palate: Ground pepper - warming. Creamy with sweet influences and a touch
Nose: Fresh, fragrant with a sweet marshmallow nose, a pleasant menthol
Palate: More subtle, sweet with a defined vanilla edge. A gentle spice lingers in
the background. Heavy Kiwi fruit influences emerge.
Cask Type(s): Refill Sherry butt.
Whisky Style: Warming, yet mellow Cask Strength whisky.
First of: sour/savoury & quite a lot of grain & cereals, ethanol, black eraser rubber, vanilla & lemon, (86)
A bit later: turning a lot sweeter with some caramel/butterfudge, red apple, quince, lemon, waxern (paraffin & fruit wax), a touch coastal with some salt & hemp rope, also some chocolate syrup, eucalyptus, wet chalk, wet hay & very distant charred coals, (88)
oily/waxern at the start with some red apples, burnt chocolate cake, becoming thinner when going into the finish even turning into a dry & prickly mouthfeel occasionally, (86) this seems to get less over time (87)
black tea w some dried apple bits, mineral & a touch brine-y, quite tongue drying, turning slightly bitter towards the end with some malt, leather & faint chocolate notes. (85)
Later: turns much sweeter with a sirup-y quality if given enough time, caramel, toasted cereals, malt still with an edge of the above. (88)
