Fantastic whisky which you should try if younger the chance.
Greeted with lots of sweetness with only the faintest touch of smoke. Creamy vanilla backed with a splash of sea breeze, throw some salted caramel in the mix as well. With time the nose becomes greener and saltier, fresh pears and added sea breeze, nose becomes ever increasingly smokey as time goes on. Bandages and barbeque also make an appearance adding another layer of depth to the ever developing peat smoke.
With water the nose takes a step back from the sweetness and gains levels of oak and seaweed to add to the pears.
Smokey and very earthy, mud and peat from the opening seconds. Sweetness follows, sweet peat, some touches of lapsang souchong tea, honey and vanilla sweetness. The sweetness slowly develops its salty side with added brine and seashells.
With water touches of sour oak appears slightly surpressing the sweetness which originally dominated. A final addition of Haribos, especially the red ones are enjoyed on a medicine cabinet.
Super Long with peat, charred oak, a bonfire on the beach and a little more sweet peat.
With water the wood begins to speak with maple charred oak.
