    Color: mahogany
    Viscosity: oily
    Dram: undiluted and diluted

    Conclusion:
An extraordinary bourbon that is really looking for its equal. Extremely complex, the alcohol is well integrated, but you can also play with water and tickle out new flavors. The alcohol pushes a lot at the beginning, but is not uncomfortable, as one would expect at over 60%. The fruity notes in particular come out very nicely with water. A bourbon that I would always prefer to some Scots if the price hadn't increased so recently.

    My rating system:
    100-95: Exceptional whiskeys
    80-94: Top Whiskeys
    50-79: standard whiskey
    0-49: flops
    • Nose
Fruity and at the same time heavy and deep aromas fill your nose first. The alcohol is already noticeable and triggers a slightly cooling feeling. Brandy beans, pickled cherries, kirsch, the fresh wood influence is clearly noticeable, some furniture polish, grandma's old wall unit, dried tobacco leaves, old cowboy boots, freshly cut oak, wood shavings like when entering a woodworking shop, freshly grated cinnamon sticks, the fruity notes are more interesting Lighter fruits such as pears, apples but also tropical fruits like papaya, mango, guava, fresh country bread from the oven, in the very background there are vanilla notes that are immediately evident with other bourbon, light smoky notes, but not like typical Islay smoke, but rather after cold ashtray, nutmeg, with water there are clear notes of peppermint and menthol, but also bicycle tube, spicy gingerbread, clove spice, butterscotch
    • Taste
The powerful start is also evident on the tongue, but it carries the aromas very nicely. Nice fruity notes paired with a nice wood load. The fruity notes are more reminiscent of cherry lollipops, with tropical fruits like guava, papaya, banana, the fresh wood influence is clearly noticeable and somewhat covers the other notes, furniture polish, grandma’s old wall unit, fresh oak, but also light smoky notes, dried Tobacco leaves, spicy gingerbread, Hamburger Franzbrötchen with a good load of cinnamon, cloves, cherry jam, freshly cooked vanilla pudding with red jelly, salted peanuts, milk chocolate, salted caramel, butterscotch, hot chilli seasoning, siracha sauce, freshly ground white pepper
    • Finish
Here, too, the finish is characterized by the wood notes, slightly bitter of mocha, espresso, dark chocolate, cinnamon rolls, plus nutty notes of peanuts, roasted almonds and walnuts, spicy gingerbread, chocolate cake, salted caramel, chilli seasoning, banana souffle,
