Very sweet, very smoky and a lot of steam. Great Islay Malt.
Lots of smoke that is somewhere between the smokehouse and the campfire. In addition, forest honey, citrus fruits and hay. Salty maritime notes and a little coriander. With a little water it is significantly fresher and fruity with green apple. The nose really looks good.
Fresh and fruity with sweet malt and honey. Incredibly sweet with smoked ham and ash.
Sweet and spicy, again honey and citrus fruits.
- Fairly decent NAS whisky to end a tasting session on a cool night. Not too complex but nice to have tried it.
- Pretty good. Not so smoky, very round. Taste is awesome, but expected more from nose and finish. Definitely must to try, especially if price is good
- The palate is strong and powerful, great and simple dram.
Despite young, a lot of wood influence, feels matured, smoky but not very peaty, dry and musty
Sweet and burning, oak, paint, very sour and juicy, powerful mouthfeel, orange, floral, banana, pear drop, bitter herbs
Short-medium, peated barley crusts, barley sugar
- Aroma: fresh, well-known mineral, green apple, sea freshness, burnt willow twigs, salt, chalk.
Taste: fresh, iodide, smoked, red pepper, sweetener, chalk, lemon peel.
Finish: salty-peat, mineral, chemical sweetness, average duration.
