Today I thought it would be good to actually write some notes for this as it has been a few weeks since I opened the bottle and have been enjoying it. Let's see how it tastes.

Nose starts off with beautiful aromas of smoke, lemon juice, sea-salt, perhaps even some wool sweater. Then non-citrus fruits, and a whiff of chocolate shavings.

The palate continues on where the nose leaves off plus adds light tastes of bacon, and then some warming spices.

Finishes off with salt, brine, and bacon. Lemon zest and pepper, followed by a lingering oily smoke.

Bright and interesting molt with unexpected and pleasant development in sharp pepper notes. The overall impression slightly spoils only slight bitterness and wood dryness.
    • Nose
Bright citrus with powerful sweet smoky accompaniment, ground pepper and menthol. The smoke disappears with time and the red pepper remains, pleasantly nose-nosed
    • Taste
Dry, gently spiced with a slight bitterness and vanilla, eventually goes into hot pepper
    • Finish
The smooth pleasant development of the same notes as in the taste, the warm sensation of spicy oriental food, the dryness of the old wood slightly spoils the picture. Woody notes disappear with time

Certainly a good whisky, very dry, peaty and peppery with lots of tea. Lacks sweetness and fruitiness on the palate.

Peaty and pleasantly aromatic at first nosing. Fresh on notes of peat, lemon pie and apples. Sweet with tasty limoncello and moderate power. Very nice.
    • Taste
      85 85
Spicy and peaty at first mouthfeel. Again only moderate power when swallowed. Dry with tons of pepper and black tea. Faint notes of sherry. Lacks fruitiness.
    • Finish
      85 85
Long and very peppery ... peaty pepper-tea-extract, dry, earthy, warming from deep inside.
