    SB at Maltbarn
    • Nose
      caramel vanilla
      a little sea air, camphor
strong wood, some varnish, polish well spread and rubbed on a piece of furniture
a little citrus a little cooked on lemons
back smoked at the end of the nose
    • Taste
orange sweetness and meringue, that comes out of the oven well cooked!
      sweet spices, hardened wood
there are a few herbs, a little white chocolate
alcohol suddenly arrives, amplifying the recognized scents, especially for candied fruit
you smell the fine smoke, the herbs a little burned, and the wood slightly soaked, it's nice
    • Finish
cooked almond, subtle, wood, citrus, lime, and vanilla creamy, a little sweet for a sustained finish !!

A very noble Springbank for the age. The nose is almost perfect. Taste and finish can not quite keep that, but there can help a longer time open bottle :-)
    • Nose
      94 94
Noble Springbank nose, citrus scent, mineral but in a gentle form, the sherry influence is noticeable and makes the nose a bit fuller, orange juice, smoked fish, the Zirusnoten are getting sweeter, this goes towards lemon juice frosting, a drop of water unfolds Potential: Now creamy vanilla is added to the sweet citrus notes, candy and lychees
    • Taste
      88 88
Amazingly mild, but also citrus-heavy onset, slightly ashen smoke, creaminess and the mineral fight against each other, sweet orange peels, very noble, a not so aggressive, yet powerful Springbank
    • Finish
      89 89
Ashy to mineral finish along with the sweet orange peel, nice touch of sweetness along with a light oak,

The sample is well ventilated. A typical but discreet and quite complex nose, it gets stronger with the mouth.
    Drink easily.
    • Nose
      87 87
It reminds me of fresh almond, but coming back after the first sip it reminds me of a grenadine milk with a touch of smoke, very light.
    • Taste
      89 89
Intense and beautifully melted, we find salt mixed with sherry in a milky sensation. Little or no minerality.
    • Finish
      89 89
Medium to long on salt and milk lining the tongue.

  7. Kensay scored this whisky 89 points Expert Junior

Very balanced, quite powerful and bright molt, there are no dips in flavor, taste or finish. No disharmony, tasty, though quite straightforward.
    • Nose
At first it is waving with a wave of sea salt and iodine, then citrus notes appear, freshly squeezed lemon, very fresh, menthol orbits, smoke of cherry wood
    • Taste
Sea salt, spices, cinnamon, concentrated citrus juice, sweet smoke, cream and vanilla notes
    • Finish
Quite a long, sweetish smoke, a little cinnamon, orange peel, as a whole continues the taste sensations and is in harmony with them.

    Balance (22)
    Simple, pleasant, distinctive ... (89)
    • Nose
The aroma is characteristic, salt, citrus, minerality ... raw dough, grass, caramel, wax ... after standing a branded farm appeared (22)
    • Taste
      Salt, juicy fruits, wax (23)
    • Finish
The finish is juicy, fruity, spices and salt, light bitterness ... a little farming smoke and hay (22)

  9. Imp scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

Nose: citrus, mineral soda, slightly sherry "animals", salted tree.

Taste: wood-spicy, a little ash, cream and traditional citrus.

    Finish: wood, orange, ash.

Blindly in general, it would be like some middle-aged Kaol Yilu, a very strict and mineral Springbank came out.

Tasty, but new sherry barrels, Martin is not a magician ...
