Class whisky. I had a lot of fun tasting it. :Top:
    • Nose
      rosé wine

When I poured NEN drops on the sample and fished with the finger. Rubbed briefly between the fingers and it comes to a beautiful greasy smoke flavor. Closely followed by barbecue, or bacon crispy. Now to the glass ...
From the glass comes a wonderful, aromatic pipe smoke. But not pushy. Then has something of strawberries. I find this sweet, fruity berry aroma next to the smoke very cool. A blunt sharpness lies behind it. I do not know how to describe it differently. Milk chocolate goes after. Also has something of a fruity mulled wine. In general I find this fruity wine note very cool. I could smell it for a very long time. Simply very pleasant. From the background, some leather and orange peels out. But also something like tree resin.
    • Taste
Sweetish, smoky onset. A pinch of pepper to it and again the bacon chips taste. In the taste more vinous. More grapes. The berries go here too in the direction of strawberries. Slightly sweetened herbal tea and sweetish wood. I mean to taste some tobacco and menthol. The second sip more sour blackberries and again the bacon. But there is still such a Christmas spice swinging. I'm not sure which one. Some chocolate and vanilla still struggle.
    • Finish
Rather long. Vinous, berry sweet. With pleasant, spicy smoke. A subtle bitterness is preserved. Will be drier towards the end.

A creamy mouthfeel how you love it with ardmore drams. This is plums in redwine packed in bacon. Sweetness wasnt expected, but its there, though its a redwine cask. Better than the port matured. Ardmore is high quality stuff imho.

Blueberry, peat, chalk and light malt note in the form of pastry that reveals the Ardmore character. Slightly fishy. Later salted caramel.

More peat. Blueberry, salted caramel and again a bit of pastry. Water adds nuts but turns it into a blur.
    • Finish
      86 86
Blueberry, peat, salted caramel and cocoa.
