Whisky Reviews for Springbank 21-year-old

- Tasted a regular bottle (rather pale like current 21yo Springbanks)
- After several miniatures of this 21yo Springbank with the jagged label I got a regular bottle. However, this one is not that dark such as the 21yo Springbank with the brown label which is not jagged (shows 1 of 2400 bottles worldwide).
This one is more on exotic fruits and citrus fruits while the darker expressions are more on sherry and dark fruits. It's though not comparable to current expressions of the 21yo with the golden label which are more leathery and even little smoky.
Lemons, grapefruits, pears, mineral, subtle nectar notes
Oily, mellow, very malty, fruity, citrus fruits, apples, mango, subtle sweetness, hints of oak wood
Long and warm, more punchy in the end
- Tasted an official miniature
- Tasted an official miniature: Compared to the other Springbank 21yo with the same label (not jagged) and with "one of 2400" on it this one is more on green fruits and zesty - in other words a tad more bitter. Still very good.
Rich, sherry nose, toffee, honey, little green fruits, even old books?
Punchy, oily, good balance between sherry wood and subtle sweetness, little fruity, grapefruits
Medium long, warm and getting a little zesty in the end
