- Best on the nose, okay on the palate, lacking in the finish. An okay old grain, but it's too light for me to score higher.
No off notes or overt ethanol, just soft vanilla and grainy notes (a handful of dried corn, a general ambience of someone having made popcorn a moment ago). No need to guess which grain was used here. Some soft oak notes, and a tiny bit of wax. After a while I get some rye-like spiciness and neapolitan wafers.
Too light on the tongue, but different from what the nose promised: there's this ryeish, faintly bready spiciness, woodshop-like oakiness (fresh, light wood notes everywhere), and despite its obvious grain-ness, it's well integrated and has no ethanol sting.
Here now, gone instantly. Really, you're going to miss it if you don't pay attention.
