The basis of the whiskey consists of several types of grain (wheat, rye, barley malt) from the distillery's own regional agriculture, which were ground in the in-house, more than 620-year-old Fessler Mühle according to old craftsmanship on the shotgun from 1870 with grinding stones. The grain was distilled several times in the distillery and then stored in the more than 400 year old vaulted cellar of the Fessler Mühle. The storage of this whiskey varies between Württemberg wine barrels, old Scottish whiskey barrels and classic American ex-bourbon barrels. Domestic spring water from the local alwa spring is used for the whiskey. Swabian whiskey from Germany.
The mettermalt Classic Whiskey received silver at the 2019 state award.
