Whisky Reviews for J. & G. Grant Ltd. 1967

I always thought this was Glen Grant 5 year 1967 before I took a closer look.
I assume there must be Glenfarclas in here?

Not complex in any way, a sweet one definitely not for sherry heads or peat heads, hence why I like it, simple pleasures :)

Light, fruity and floral with hints of lemon, grapefruit. mango and some sugared fruit jellies.
There is also very faint hints of paint but not off putting but after a while it turns to freshly sawn wood with hints of menthol

Obviously at 5 years old his has not had long to mature but the colour is of light corn at first I thought is was new oak but interesting what fill this is I am guessing 3rd or 4th
    • Taste
      85 85
Very creamy at first reminds me very much of a blend (with grain) but its heavier than that but you get the drift.
The spirit comes out and far from being bland it is quite fizzy and fruity and the fruit keeps growing (white fruits).
There is a little spice in the mix, simple profile but it works.
    • Finish
      84 84
remains creamy sweet and spicy to the end.
