These were the notes from a blind tasting, then it was a bit wrong ;-) but he is delicious
    • Nose
The color is not that dark and the whisky does not have a reddish tint, so for now I assume a white wine storage.

In the nose, the analysis of the color confirms, very creamy and sweet, hazelnuts, in the direction of hazelnut ice, I go out of a bright sweet wine and of course comes directly to a Sauternes, I like Sauternesreifungen very much, so I like the smell very good, he seems quite complacent, not alcoholic and from the nose I would rather tap on drinking strength, below it comes out slightly floral, floral notes, but not so intense that they would bother me (I'm not a friend of), the nutty direction remains, now I also think to find short marzipan, sweet freshly cut pear, slightly acidic, the nose is fun

After the nose, I would spontaneously tap on the Arran Sauternes finish, which would come from the alcohol strength, the overlaid floral notes and also from the then lack of maturity.

That I already have such a concrete idea, makes me a little worried, since that will affect the further course already something.
    • Taste
yes definitely drinking, yes, here also floral, sweet, honey, slightly nutty, also here definitely sweet wine, here comes the Florale stronger and as feared, I can not get the Arran Sauternes finish out of my head, nice strong start, albeit that Mouthfeel could be fuller, slightly acid, slightly bubbly, tickling
    • Finish
Nutty, pleasant finish, light roasted aromas, medium length

    pleasant wine finish
    • Nose

requires longer life to dissolve the dense ball - now honey syrup is in the glass to ripe apricots, papaya, resin
    • Taste
      86 86
Immediately the sweetness is noticed, which probably is due to the wine barrel, acacia honey, tree resin, ripe apricots, fruit bread, chamomile extract - very spicy
    • Finish
      85 85
medium long - sweet, fruity honey wine, finally quite woody dryness

Great malt with beautifully integrated wine finish. My nose gets its money. Will be a little weaker in the taste. He can not quite keep the beautiful density and variety of flavors in the taste. Nevertheless a successful wine finish for me.

Not very intrusive, everything comes very hesitant to the fore. a slightly sweet with a slightly spicy character. Has something ethereal about it. Lilac, wet, freshly scented pine wood. Some lavender comes through.
All in all, pleasantly floral. On top of it, a great cinnamon note floats. With grapes, cherries, apples. Very subtle vanilla or caramel. After some time, a slightly cool alcoholic note is added. Possibly. but it is also menthol. Can not go straight out.
Nice balance in it! The red wine barrel goes through well, but for me is not too much in the foreground. The sweet, slightly sour fruit flavors are noticeably there.

Creamy, softer and yet full-bodied with lush floral notes of lilac, lavender. In addition there are oranges, plum compote and cherries. At the end, a slightly salty licorice with a nice spicy oak. Subtle vanilla in the background.
Alcohol is well integrated for me. Barely noticeable.
    • Finish
      84 84
medium long, sweet and slightly tingling, spicy with some pepper and becoming drier.

  6. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

reserved in the nose, well-tended taffy-orange-boredom, some water tickles red fruits and a light (nice) bourbon note, it goes on in the mouth, red berries, cherries, four roses single barrel, spicy, warm finish with Oak and cocoa ...
Delicious whisky, 80 € are borderline, but not totally outrageous.
Of the good old Bladnoch, however, unfortunately nothing is left, this is pure Fasswhisky.
I want the corn-and-hay bladnoch again. With green labels with Muh and Mäh! Howl!

    • Nose
      87 87
Fruity, grapes come through, oaky with spicy tones.
    • Taste
      88 88
Tartness followed by sweetness kicking in, fruity, wine influence definitely in evidence but not overpowering. Better tasting on the second dram!
    • Finish
      84 84
Almost an initial hint of corked wine but that was soon replaced by spiciness with the fruitiness still prevalent. Definite grape and oaky linger.

Not an outstanding base distillate and finish unfortunately.
    • Nose
      85 85
Milk caramel, grape seed, acidic wines, spicy oak, earth and touch of mint.
    • Taste
      85 85
Floral. Blood orange, grape, citruses, malt, grain, sour forest fruits and dry oak.
    • Finish
      84 84
      Medium length, bittersweet, oaky.

I do not have it that way with floral notes in whisky. But as long as I do not feel like I have grandma's lilac perfume in my glass, I can live with it. Here I find it almost borderline. The beautiful strong oak notes and the quite complex nose save him then even before a total demise.
The finish in red wine barrels brings here hardly any gain in exciting notes - except, one finds lilacs in whisky exciting - but let him in conjunction with the tart wood notes very unausgegoren and seem immature. And even the Erstreifung apparently took place in rather unsettling re-refill barrels, which could not form a great basis.

    • Nose
Quite modest, but with a subtle sweetness and spicy malt notes he sets off. But surprisingly, despite his 17 years of age, he seems rather immature and blind tasting would have made him much younger and probably even single-figure, because I can not shake off a disturbing metallic note. But luckily there is more. Especially ripe grapes, pickled strawberries with vanilla and a slightly spicy cardamom. In addition, tender butter caramel and with goodwill a few pickled cherries. The initially hardly existing oak wood becomes more and more dominant with increasing life and the whisky reveals more and more its true age. The alcohol brings a cooling menthol note.
    • Taste
At first, the impression of lactation was rather pale, so it starts on the palate, at least equally well, strong and warming. Immediately makes a creamy malty sweetness that reminds me of a soft Grain whisky. Then it becomes fruity, overripe and almost fermented fruit sets unusual accents, followed by floral notes of lavender, lilac and rose water and I wonder what may have gone wrong here. There is hardly anything left of the rather complex nose. The dry, harsh oak notes, which adjust quite quickly, do not really round off the whole thing, but are rather out of place with the perfumed flavors. A rather unbalanced arid tangle that I do not like at all.
    • Finish
The finish is short and unspectacular. Again, a malty sweetness with light grapes, a little vanilla and then I have here also quite rugged oak wood, which is able to contribute a few dry-tart notes.
