***Update: did a second tasting alongside the standard 12 and a BBR 2003 15 year Bunna. The complexity of the nose and palate is clear in the bottle with a lot of nice juicy fragrance and salinity, stone and a hint of smoke
Nose: Ripe juicy yellow tree fruits, pear and lemon gum drops. A little bit of caramel and vanilla. A little bit of sea salt.
Second tasting: juicy pear, salt, green apples, brambles, yellow fruits, castor oil. A little flint, some must on fragrant juicy green muscat grapes, and just a hint of chimney smoke. With water a little vanilla rises.
Much like the nose. Full bodied and oily.
Second tasting: flinty, some pepper, pear drop candies, yellow garden flowers, chenin blanc, ginger drops. With water more flint and chalk
A hint of ginger spice and bitterness, and lemons. Medium finish
Second tasting: same
