Superb. Almost perfect. Much more balanced than # 6698,4296 and 3246 tasted in parallel.
    A very inspiring fruity.
    • Nose
Nose again and again superb with these caperdonich 1972.
Very exotic. Guava, mango, pineapple, peach, apple, lemon, mandarin. It's a real fruit salad.
Milk chocolate, fresh herbs. Mint, basil, lemongrass.
      Light woody. Cocoa powder.
      Superb balance.
    • Taste
On the palate the fruit is more red. Strawberry, cherry, currant. Always pineapple, citrus (tangerine, lemon).
Wax, acacia honey, mont blanc cream. Light leather and white chocolate.
    • Finish
Super finale on camphor, rancio, peach, pineapple

    Capadonic 36 / DT AULD & RARE / November 1972 Distillation / September 2009 Bottling / 51.2% cask # 7446 / Bottle # 136/283

The nose is a fresh fleur-like expectation.

The body is a sweet peach

The finish is “skin skin” and the scent of the tide

It is the best taste for an after-meal drink.

Without water, the nose is overwhelmingly woodspice, with just a feint hint of fruit at the end, and some heat from the alcohol at 51.2%. That makes the flourish of soft fruits and spice on the palate a refreshing surprise.

The fruits include guava, mango and tropical banana (the short and angular sweet type), with cardamon and vanilla in hefty proportion for spice.

    Just a delightful dram.

With water, floral and herbal notes emerge on the nose, and the fruit and spice converge on the palate in a symphonic confluence.

    Thanks CJ.
    • Nose
Sherry magnified by a waxy veil. Beeswax, royal jelly. Acacia honey.
    • Taste
      Quasi sweet, rich, honeyed.
    • Finish
Intense, fruity. Light exoticism. Woody bitterness.
