One of those whiskies that just knocks your socks off. Constantly developing in the glass, wonderful from start to finish. Truly an experience in the glass.
    • Nose
Is this whisky? Old cognac, aged rum, a thick sticky and liquer like quality. I get immediate notes of cherries and other berries, is this Herring liquer and Chambord?
With time it picks up more manuka honey, treacle, stone fruits plums and peaches, a touch of drip coffee, a soft smokiness and woodchips. Tabacco, cigar boxes and a layer of leather.
    • Taste
Classy and dignified, a true elegance coming through the darkness. Its blackberries, brambles and black currant, black cherries. A soft spiciness, a gentle tingle of oak and paprika.
    • Finish
Tannings under control, balanced with manuka honey and tabacco. A gentle smokiness hovers.

    N. Wow Stone fruits galore, a little almond croissant and some well matured Christmas cake

    P. The booze soaked nectarine and plum washes over the pallete initially, followed by warm oak and a little white pepper. Raisins develop but they've been ever so gently smoked over the embers of an ancient oak fire.

    F. Deep layers of cake with candied orange peel, white pepper and soft hints of Christmas spice.

Probably the best Glendronach I tried.

Nice stuff, honey, toffee, vanilla, almonds, figs, candied fruits, plums, Demerara, a bit rum-ish, excellent

The most impressive batch for the Grandeur series thus far. complex sherry, luv the casks play here. Thick cooked fruits. A real treat.

Tasting session with my buddy on a couple of classic. Grandeur batch 10 has got great complexity and a wonderful balance for its age. Long lingering finish and aftertaste. Very very good.
