N- Imposing labeling, a pleasure just to hold and look at it. Sultana, demarara molasses, hawthorn, dried fruits jam, ripe tropical fruits, rounded and soothing to the nose. Lengthy with juicy lemon, citrus peel and nutmeg emerged and remains.

P- Velvet, with again molasses and caramelize banana, creamy notes of chocolate fondue and juicy fruits, even some apricot, popping candy, with dose of lightly spicy zest of nutmeg balanced out the sweetness. Consistent and stable mouthfeel throughout.

F- Long, creme brulee, lightly toasted with well aged waxy wood aroma on the back palate. Warm and contended, a dram for next to the fireplace, just too bad that we have no winter here.

The nose is stellar, but the mouth did not especially inspire me ... I remained on my hunger, too bad.
    • Nose
Sherry of course, but not that, a crazy depth, as if each inspiration could reveal a new aroma without it being easy to attach words. It is clearly eyeing the side of the best old cognacs.
    • Taste
Quite dry, woody and round at the same time, it's very good, excellent even, but the nose is so magical that this mouth, more withdrawn, leaves a taste of unfinished for me ...
    • Finish
      (Too short.

    Color :
    Copper

    Nose :
Superb nose, very expressive on the prune, the fig and some
    very ripe banana notes.

    The nose evolves
then to sweet notes, very greedy on the jam and
    caramel sweets.

    Finally we have beautiful
notes vinous but very elegant, superbly melted at a
good dose of spices, cinnamon and gingerbread.

    A slight varnish is
present but by no means dominant and bringing a beautiful structure to
    all its aromas.

    Mouth :
Despite its age in very active sherry cask, the mouth is not
    (too) woody, no astringency.

    On the contrary,
    texture is very silky, nice.

    The alcohol is
perfectly controlled, no need for water.

    Fruits are less
present on the nose, we are more about spices, vinous notes,
    chocolate, coffee and candied oranges.

    Long enough final
on notes of sherry and cherry cherry.

    Perfect example of
maturation in sherry cask of very good quality.

This Glenfiddich is very good, complex and elegant. I do not know if I prefer it dry or just diluted. Both profiles are interesting anyway.
    • Nose
Subtle and elegant, it develops on fruity and sweet notes. Apricot jam delicately vanilla, a hint of fresh butter, tangerine liquor, fudge. Then the oak expresses itself on ginger, cinnamon and other sweet spices. Nice complexity and a lot of balance. With a little water, notes of very ripe cherry cherry appear as well as a very delicate and light minty freshness.
    • Taste
The attack is fruity and fresh, then the medium becomes spicy. It must be rotated a little in the mouth to tame, but it is very beautiful. We find then the alliance of acidulated fruits (tangerine, orange marmalade) and spices (cinnamon, white pepper) present on the nose. A little water reduces the sharpness of the alcohol. If the fruits and spices persist, the whisky becomes greener, becoming a bit more bitter, with hints of peach stones.
    • Finish
The finish is drier, woody and very slightly astringent, before tart notes refreshing sensations in the mouth.
