I like the Ugedail better, although this one might be more for lovers of the stronger whiskies.
I think it's good that it's not a hype bottle.
The Corryvreckan is very smoky on the nose and has a leathery smell, like tar. The powerful smell stays in the nose for a long time.
After a few drops of water are added to the glass, a few fruit notes are added, but for me they just remain hidden behind the smoky aroma.
The Ardbeg is fresh and powerful in acceleration. The taste is clearly fruitier than the smell. In addition, there is a strong spiciness, much stronger than the Ugedail, pepperier, but also a smoky taste and also the classic distillery taste, sweet.
The spiciness also remains in the finish, it is oily, long, the tar from the aroma remains on the tongue as something dark, like coffee or dark chocolate.
