The Corryvreckan is slightly more expensive than the Ugedail and also has no age statement. Also the strongly smoky one and has to be measured against the Ugedail for me.
I like the Ugedail better, although this one might be more for lovers of the stronger whiskies.

I think it's good that it's not a hype bottle.

The Corryvreckan is very smoky on the nose and has a leathery smell, like tar. The powerful smell stays in the nose for a long time.
After a few drops of water are added to the glass, a few fruit notes are added, but for me they just remain hidden behind the smoky aroma.
    • Taste
      86 86
The Ardbeg is fresh and powerful in acceleration. The taste is clearly fruitier than the smell. In addition, there is a strong spiciness, much stronger than the Ugedail, pepperier, but also a smoky taste and also the classic distillery taste, sweet.
    • Finish
      84 84
The spiciness also remains in the finish, it is oily, long, the tar from the aroma remains on the tongue as something dark, like coffee or dark chocolate.

Sharp, young, sweet, grassy, resembles a bath tincture, marine. Uigeadail in comparison is much softer, more delicate, denser and older.
    • Nose
Saturated, dry, fried sunflower oil, herbs like: scarlet, dry bath broom, sweet iodine, caramel, seaweed, all wrapped in some kind of smoked oil. (Uigeadail is more aromatic, oily, coniferous, sweeter and much milder.)
    • Taste
Burning, grassy, sweet, very powerful and dense, burns with sweetness and herbs, mostly the same bath herbs, iodine, oils, smoked meats. (Uigeadail - not so sweet, more oak / coniferous, spicy spices, and soft).
    • Finish
Simply excellent, continues the taste, long sweet and iodine. (Uigeadail - bitter, more wood, such as wet wood chips, not sweet).
