Whisky Reviews for Glenallachie 1989

- Wonderfully matured Sherry Cask Whisky. Great balance between Brennereicharakter and the barrel. Not cheap, but worth the money!
- Nicely matured Glenallachie, without too much cask influence. A little bit low on price-quality ratio...
Typical Glenallachie distillery character. The cask didn´t deliver much influence here. Creme brûlée, vanilla sauce, cinnamon, green bananas. With water: Additional peppermint, milk chocolate, nettle leaves...
Almost chewable, nice sweet profile when water is added. Notes of rhubarb, raisins and with white fruits with a little alcoholic touch.
Long lasting waves of vanilla, paired with cinnamon rolls, oak and raisins.
