with water: in my opinion he does not need water, but let's try it: the peat smoke gets some asphalt notes

Conclusion: a surprisingly mild Laphi, the sweet harmonizes well. Overall, he seems to me too strong tamed, a little lax and without depth
    • Nose

typical Laphraoig with iodine, salt, pebble beach and some banana notes, plus then the pineapple sweetness of the rum, a little vanilla and coconut, a hint of creaminess is hinted there, overall maybe a bit thin
    • Taste
      86 86
It starts with a great bright sweetness, it takes until the Laphirauch has fought through there
    • Finish
      84 84
medium in length and with that amazing kurt, also here the interplay between the light and fruity sweetness and the typical smoky aroma, behind a little bit dry oak

    Overpriced for the given quality
    • Nose
      85 85
      Fairly “weak” nose
    • Taste
      87 87
One sided, rum influences very noticible, bitter. Hate it or love it typo dram
    • Finish
      88 88
Medium to long finish mainly because of the peat, again one sided in taste, ends in bit drying bitterness
