Not the best Glendronach, but still way above average, considering what the whisky world has been doing in the past few months.
My rating may not be quite objective, especially considering the much better barrel 8314 from the 1992 Glendronach.
But today in the tasting session was Ben Bracken's 30-year third occupancy, the 29-year-old Mortlach sulfur bomb in 1988 by Cadenhead, and an 18-year-old blended malt by Donatella. (Did not know that Donatella also offers whiskys without gold leaf.) Tasted everything but horrible. Who actually came up with the idea of this compilation of the sample ????
Since the Glendronach had in terms of single malt a unique selling point. Was probably not too difficult in the competition.
