Whisky Reviews for Blended Malt Scotch Whisky #6 TBWC

- I think there is flavoring in here. At best, it's paxerette, at worst it's maple sugar. Yes, that's right: I'm saying that I believe this expensive Scotch has been tampered with. It's likely that whoever sold the blended cask to TBWC did the tampering. I very much doubt TBWC is the culprit. The taste is fairly good but I refuse to go higher in my score due to the fact that I never buy flavored whisky and this is not supposed to be flavored whisky. I'm surprised that Whisky Loving Pianist didn't notice what I'm talking about. He seems to have bought into the marketing hype as well as the doctoring of said cask. Glen Scotia most certainly did not do the doctoring. I think the doctoring was not done by a distillery but rather by whoever blended the casks and aged them together.
TBWC bottles now come with really well designed and fun boxes. There are stickers inside too!
C:. Nutty distillate-driven with a tasty soft-herbal caramel chew and some lovely old sherry. Bought pre-blended [from the horses mouth], Toby recalls it as being comprised of 30% single malt from Loch Lomond & 70% single malt from Glen Scotia. Fairly priced too at £85 from TWE on the day, or £93 at MoM!
