  2. Brinker scored this whisky 62 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
      60 60
An incredible amount of nail polish remover. Very citric. A bit of pear and somehow milkshake.
    • Taste
      55 55
High levels of alcohol, a bit of grape fruit. Clear wood tannins.
    • Finish
      70 70
      Fairly short, slight bitterness.

  3. detachedblue scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
A lot of spices, gra[e fruits, like an old cognac, toffee and ice creams.
    • Taste
Grapes, dark chocolates and toffee, strong herbs, camphor, smooth except some tannins.
    • Finish
      Short, spicy, simple

  4. gallfux did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

Nope. That's not for me. I do not need it again in the glass.
    • Nose
The alcohol is not hiding. Then comes green apple and pear peel. A lot of citrus. Cereal notes. Again and again brush and citrus cleaner. In addition a little wet wood.
    • Taste
In the mouth only oily with alcohol. Then sourdough and breadnuts. Also a bit darkened bread crust. Maybe some mushrooms too. Overall, a lot of cereal with alcohol.
    • Finish
Now it gets more bitter. Not very strong but I do not like the style. Not really pleasant.

  5. Suevia scored this whisky 69 points Expert Senior

As a side note, I often have problems with grain whiskies. Grain-lovers (and considering the other ratings, there seem to be quite some) should take the score with a pinch of salt.

I already had lots of trouble with the other grain shop-bottling. Although not quite as toxic-tasting as the strathclyde, the cameronbridge could not win me over either.
    • Nose
Lots and lots of alcohol, then I get some kind of strawberry joghurt-milkshake-y-thing. Not much else happening.
    • Taste
Industrial alcohol, barely any flavor at all. Water helps insofar as that drowning the whisky takes away the alcoholic edge without adding any interesting added flavor.
    • Finish
      Mercifully short

  6. nallacam scored this whisky 77 points Expert Senior

I go to each grain with new hope, was not always disappointed, this is not my case.

With a Grain distillate the barrel has to deliver something, in this case it is unfortunately not the case ...
    • Nose
      80 80
Alcohol, malt, forest honey, polished furniture, strawberry.

If the alcohol goes a bit, it will be kräutrig, but remains "one-dimensional" ....
    • Taste
      77 77
Very alcoholic, with water even more biting.
    • Finish
      73 73
      Bitter, undifferentiated, weak ...
