Soothing smell. Very varied on the palate. The thing is not very young and complex.

The following notes are from a blind tasting:
    • Nose
      86 86
Old bottle flavor, vanilla, apple and fruit compote, cocktail cherries, walnut skin, herbs that were hung up to dry in the attic.
    • Taste
      91 91
Surprisingly powerful! Flashing of fruit candy, the type that is filled with effervescent powder, but not only with effervescent powder, but with white pepper that explodes in the mouth. Vanilla and sugar beet syrup with pickled walnuts are also included. Then a strong wood note takes the lead and it turns into herbal tea.
    • Finish
      89 89
The wood remains, the herbs dominate and remain very long. After a while you have astringent aromas of very long drawn herbal tea

What a wooden bomb. Dusty and dry wood, some peach and apricot, also some sweetness and acidity from pineapple, vanilla, spruce needles, light alcohol, age (yes you smell age ^^)

Uih that tingles on the tongue. Mineral and woody, yogurt with pieces of peach and a dash of honey, dried garden herbs, now freshly sawn wood

The finish is long and damn woody, first the fruit and herbs again, then a surprisingly malty sweetness and then a full pot of wood (old and slightly rotten). much bitterness towards the back (almost borderline), so old (slightly rotten) walnut shell

    Notes from a blind tasting.

    • Nose
Large sherry, leather, nuts, matches, but especially a dirty wet dog side
    • Taste
Quite austere, always with that dirty side not unpleasant, alcohol maybe not very well integrated
    • Finish
On the plum, spicy, long ...

Sherries, dry fruit galore. Wet oak, vanilla, hint of banana.
    • Taste
      86 86
Sweet, dry sherry. Woody bitterness. A bit of leather and tobacco.
    • Finish
      88 88
Long. Old wood. Spices and a bit of fruitiness.

    Cadenhead for sherry finish
    • Nose
wet, dirty, somewhat hay-like grasses used
      a mineral side
      cooked fruit and caramelized syrup
    • Taste
the cooked, macerated fruits explode in the mouth
      then cold tobacco
      herbs, a little minty
a little dry varnish, which sticks to the back of the armchair
a little crushed walnuts and soaked with cooked apples
a return of caramel cooked and annealed, creamy
    • Finish
sweet spices, a sweet side bluffing,
      fruit on cooked mandarin
      simple but stubborn length

  8. Suevia scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

    A pleasant surprise, good stuff!
    • Nose
Lots of cherry, fruit tobacco, leather
    • Taste
dry taste, again fruity tobacco, some orange, dried fruits.
      Good mouthfeel, nice strength
    • Finish
rather long, some oak and sweetness

Solid whisky, Glen Scotia is more under my radar, the nose is very fine, then he is weak ....
    • Nose
      87 87
Tobacco, cherry, candied fruit, apple tobacco, old wardrobe, leather, slightly perfumed, damp wood
    • Taste
      85 85
Fine, elegant approach, no longer as complex as the nose, tannins on tap, tobacco, red fruits in the background
    • Finish
      83 83
slightly bitter, powerful influence from the barrel, a little sweet, rather tart

  10. Whiskybilly scored this whisky 89 points Expert Senior

Nose: Very nice sherry with a hint of cowshed, which almost disappears over time. Slightly mineral, dried figs and other fruits.

Palate: Noble and supple, but also some dirty sherry as some like him. Slight spicy aroma with some bitterness, but not disturbing.

    Finale: Mouth-filling, spicy, long ....

    A successful whisky!
