Wound-bound and dangerously tasty Bowmore ...
In the nose are fine ash notes, closely followed by great sweetness and bright fruit!
The taste shows first a great campfire, which in the interplay with violets and sweet fruits, long pulls down ... great malt

  3. Mascht scored this whisky 89 points Expert Senior

A first restrained, very maritime, smoother Bowmore, who really needs a lot of time in the glass and a bit more power would tolerate but that is nagging at the highest level, really very good!
    • Nose

To start with, it takes time, plenty of lemongrass, spearmint, mild smoke, salt, oily, maritime, seaweed and mussels, and after a few minutes, dark fruits emerge that are becoming more and more dominant and sweeter
    • Taste
      89 89
soft, velvety, sweet, astringent and mouth-filling, some blackberries, again very maritime, iodine, well integrated spice from the oak
    • Finish
      89 89
Medium long (short for a Bowmore), some ashes, spice from the oak and wonderfully maritime

I am a sucker for these "baby"-Bowmores, great and usually affordable stuff!
This one is no exception, great and simple fun. Very glad I could get my hands on a few bottles.

First association = Fisherman's friend :D. Very maritime, some iodine, salt, citrus, peat.
    • Taste
      91 91
sweet, citrus, grassy, ash, maritime, salt. Perfectly drinkable despite the high abv.
      Water: don't, gets fiercer.
    • Finish
      86 86
      rather short

He is too cautious for a higher rating.
    • Nose
      90 90
Barely smoke, mint, very fresh, maritime, salty, lemon, freshly cut grass, a touch of sulfur
    • Taste
      87 87
There is a slight sweetness dancing on the tongue, ash and weak peat, salt
    • Finish
      87 87
Long and pleasant, again very maritime with a slight bitterness.
