Notes from a blind tasting.
Ok, so for Ben Nevis it's pretty untypical.
Sweet, fruity, warm and slightly oblique when pouring. The oblique disappeared after a few seconds, not that I could have defined that closer. Yellow fruit, some lightly pickled, vanilla sweetness, but also a few herbs and a little hay are to make out. Overall, he still looks warm and inviting. At first he gets a little bit sour, a stuffy note like dishcloth comes on, as well as pear compote, a dash of furniture polish.
Very sweet at first, honey and sweet popcorn, it dries off noticeably behind, grassy. The mouthfeel is rather fluid, the onset moderate.
In the finish, he then warms up well while he continues to dry. A slight bitterness is medium in the mouth, also a very pleasant acidity is on the palate.
