- Ledaig 21 50.6% Old particular 1997. Consumed July 2019. Aroma has soft papery oak and butter vibes. Taste is rounded, soft peat integrates with the wood, yes very well rounded lovely. Subtle and enjoyable. The salty rounded peat tastes great alongside the toasted woody notes. Good. Great to try a clean Ledaig - not as common an experience as I'd like it to be. 3.65/87
- Nose - Nice Peaty smell , very mild ash - didn't get the salty maritime that many detected
Taste - spiciness grows with some saltiness , oiliness buttery smoothness lingers
Finish - nice peat lingering, smoky medium to long finish

- A solid Ledaig, with heavy maritime and coastal quality.
Revisit after a few months, I probably too generous with my 1st rating.
Distinctive Ledaig's signature peat, loud and clear! Sweet and fired coal, over salted sausage, oily bacon from the classic English breakfast. Compost matter, which is a thing you either like it or hate it, and heavily salted water.
Sea salt, sea breeze, salted pepper. Slightly sweet with a nice fluidy texture.
Lovely smoky and salty finish, the saltiness almost makes you feel thirsty.
