Whisky Reviews for Talisker 1988 DL
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 87.73 points
- Love this one, a great reason why there should be more high strength Talisker and more independent bottling. Lovely expression and true Talisker beyond todays Talisker 10. Salty like hell.
- Talisker as we love it. Freshly cut wet grass. Subtle smoke and a big welcome from the seashore. Love it!
- While nose is rather weird on the first impression, this wins on the palate. Seems like an ultra-refill-cask, that was used for maturation. Could have seen the cask a little longer imho...
Ginger tea paired with smoke, sweet cream, the alcohol is not well integrated. Very young-ish.
Creamy licorice, weaker chili-catch than the 10yo bottling from the distillery. Apples, not very complex at all.
Short to medium with hints of licorice, apples and oak.
