This is the second one to taste from Wiesers Whisky. Initially this one appears young. Younger than the first one i reviewed 'smoke on the water'.
Initially it's young. Cereals, light wood spices, loads of vanilla, Honey and some fresh oak. There's quite a typical bourbon kind of taste.
Bittersweet, woody, soft. It's giving me a silky mouthfeel. On the taste it appears to be quite a bit older then it probably is. When holding it longer, tannines take over quite fast.
Rather short. young, grainy. It reminds me of single grain. Soft, vanilla, sweet wood.
To summarize: This expression of the 'Wiesky' is a bit disappointing. It lacks body and identity in my opinion. It's just a short matured whisky with a standard, common, profile. But it is smooth and soft. I like the silky part on the taste. After short maturation this is quite an achievement.
