- Exciting experiment that knows how to inspire me as an occasional drinker of smoky malts. For me, the alcohol is well integrated, it doesn't taste like 66%. With water, it becomes much sweeter and more pleasing. Great bourbon!
- I had 1 oz of this and didn’t think too hard when I was drinking it, because it’s not my favourite style to begin with.
I did not get much of the ardbeg influence, just a big bold bourbon. It’s good at that, but I wouldn’t say it was a success at trying to get some peated influence. Maybe that’s a good thing though. Still good, but maybe a little romance in some of the scores.
- A funny part that has real potential in the nose and the finish and offers exciting combinations of aromas. Purely in the mouth too violent and with water suddenly something does not fit with the Aromatik.
Sweet spicy bourbon notes, cloves, vanilla, ripe light fruits, a subtle acidity, rather fresh than distracting, milk chocolate and a hint of smoke. With water, the nose becomes sweeter, the acid takes a little back, the smoke also. Spicy, yet slightly phenolic.
Pure naturally quite strong, slightly spicy, no wonder at 66%, a little bit of glue, spice, pepper, almost chili, lots of wood and bourbon. A sourish touch is quite domainant. An incredible chili-catch with water. A lot of pepper and spicy, not from the alcohol, but from the aroma.
Warm, bourbon, oak, vanilla, slightly sourish bitter, with subtle but clearly perceived peat notes. With water, the focus remains for quite a while, followed by dark dark chocolate, the peat is thus the marginal figure of the wins only at the very end again presence.
- He does not mean it to me somehow. Neither fish nor meat. This is a bourbon with additional mineral / earthy notes. Does not fit me like that. I prefer the "normal" bourbons from the Heaven Hill distillery.
