A beautiful, complex Port Charlotte according to the maturity. At the same time a force. This can be a standalone for an entire evening, engaging in conversation over and over again just by smelling and licking your lips. Excellent.

Subtle butter and gum notes, grapes, blueberries, vanilla and thick sweet smoke. So far so to be expected. As a surprise for me I also find green banana.
-
Fortunately, this does not extend to the taste. There is hardly anything worse than an unripe banana, at least in terms of mouthfeel. Instead it has lively acidity, fat tobacco notes and some red fruit. Of course, there is also the smoke again, which in the taste combines primarily with dark chocolate.

In the finish comes an association with wet tobacco. A freshly opened packet of Javanse. There's a lot of acid again. The fruit notes creep out. It gets very dry. Café au lait remains on the palate.
