Distillate driven, quality malt. Tastes younger than 20 years. A little spicy for my personal preference, but enjoyable nonetheless. I definitely appreciate the old style nature, but like I said just a little on the spicy side. A gateway to or from blanco tequila.

Wort and citrus tea, white pepper. Quite naked really. Some fresh ginger and lemon spritzer. Vanilla pudding. Barley forward.

Malty, prickly ginger and white pepper, agave and citrus freshness. Orange oil and vanilla.

Orange oil and agave syrup. There’s some vanilla and oak spice but really you can see right through it to the distillate.

Bottle kill tonight of this one, I still like it, I would get another at the right price.

Just opened this , so it is early days but 87-88 points from me
The nose is quite closed at first and water does not particularly help it, lots of lemon, sawdust and various fresh notes that you would associate with a bourbon cask.
The palate is really nice full of white fruits, a hint of peat, zesty and creamy.
The finish remains zesty & fruity.
Water does not help the nose open up and it takes a little of the fire out the palate in a good way.
    87-88 points from me/
I did do a full note but only one line went on, so this is the brief version, gremlins again?

Anyone looking for a high-quality "classic" whisky - for me, this has everything it needs. Light sweetness, malt, roundness, spiciness, fruit, complexity, body ... etc. Absolutely great, even the PLV is fine!

    A high quality Inchgower.

      Vanilla, honeyed green tea, lemongrass.
    • Taste
      90 90
Apple juice, aloe, slight mint, a hint of smoke. Surprisingly good, but a bit spicy though. With water, same same, meaning it's still damn good, perhaps slightly more rounded. It's not very complex, but the quality is rather high.
    • Finish
      89 89
      Sweet, grassy finish.
