A great whisky, but I prefer the Alster ...
First there is a bouquet of herbs in the nose, there is also juniper smoke. After some time, and a little water, he opens and the fruitiness leaves her room. Here we are on the red berries side.
The taste becomes very spicy and the herbs remain present. Is that even a bit of a maggi note? The smoke fades into the background.
However, the finish is dominated by juniper smoke and a sweetness comes to the fore, there is also a slightly bitter note from the wood.
All in all a good malt. Another great representative of the Rotspon series.
