    • Nose
Earth, cress on cotton wool, grass, if you move your nose away from the glass, you can easily get some fruit.
    • Taste
Honey, apple, herbs, herb candy, coffee, dark chocolate, some earth, pepper

    (Blind)
It's a shame that he slows down a little bit out. Otherwise, I like it quite well, especially so strong sulfuric notes have not very often, which are interesting.
    • Nose
A lot of sulfur at first. I often have a slightly cheesy association. So here too. Then a buttery sweetness, apple sauce with some cinnamon, but also a fine freshness with mint and some pepper.
    • Taste
In the mouth, the sweetness comes through stronger. Shortbread biscuits, apricot jam and a fine spiciness,
    • Finish
which increases in the finish, which unfortunately turns out to be a bit flat and short.

Initially I’d say it wouldn’t surprise me if the cask was moldy. Weird stuff.
I doesn’t convince me at all. With water it drowns quickly. It seems to have not much of a body.
    • Nose
There’s a moldy off note inhere. I do get the sherry notes but it is rather overwhelmed with sulphuric and alcoholic notes. It lacks integration. There is some fruit but the whole can’t convince me at all. I can’t believe I‘m gonna drink this in a few...
    • Taste
Sour, sharp, unbalanced in every aspect of the word. Spirity character. Cask didn’t have a lot of influence on the aging spirit. If someone told me this is 3 Years and 1 day I would believe it instantly. Spirity and woody, some citrus fruits maybe but... Complete Rubbish in my opinion. I just don’t get it.
    • Finish
Short and alcoholic with Some sherry red fruits and spices. It almost reminds me of cleaner liquids. Not that I have ever drunk that but still..

Sorry but this bottling is an insult to the world of whisky. I feel sorry for my sink, because it’s about to have some in a few..

The nose is a little bit odd and has off notes. The taste and finish are better. A good introduction on the sherry bombs for a newby.
    • Nose

Heavy sherry notes. Thick red fruit syrup, some fig jam and loads of raisins. This was a very active cask, in which, I assume, some sherry was left. This is a savoury sherried one for your information.
    • Taste
      84 84
Sweet and different than expected of the nose. This is more sweet and rounded. There is a lot of red fruit candy in here. Fruitella, raisin and some red fruit jam.
    • Finish
      84 84
Medium length. Again a lot of sherry notes. fades away with not much of a development.

Single refill butt, 12 years, 50% - a nice honest bottling. Benefits very much from the higher alcohol content. Can you for less than 50 € in any case. The oak could be too bitter for some people.
After a few months in the open bottle, he has rather gained (+2 points).
    Sensational value for money.
    • Nose
      88 88
Sweet fruit notes, effervescent, a little like gummy bears, behind buttercream, pleasant sour notes, probably from the barrel, complete the overall impression. He got a good deal of oak
    • Taste
      87 87
Violent start with plums, cherries, dried fruit, cloves and again a lot of spice from the wood, which leads into a distinct bitterness and a dry finish.
      Fills the whole mouth.
    • Finish
      86 86
Lots of oak, caramel, orange peel, light bitterness and subtle toasted notes
      Dry and medium long
