- Now I have one of these young Sherry - / (and here additionally) Port Bombs in the glass, which are currently flooding the market. Often they taste good to me, but now and then they also disappoint. What do I expect? Of course, full Fassdrönung, little character, but the distillery is not called here anyway.
In the nose massive sweet wine, fermented so almost sour-cheesy. Unfortunately one feels quite prominently an alcohol note. Menthol freshness. Brittle and dates.
Strong and slightly spicy in the mouth. Fermented fermented sweet wine. Leathery, bitter and slightly sour again, I do not like it that way. The finish leaves its moldy footprint on the tongue and throat for a long time.
Replaceable sweet wine bomb, delicious but also alcoholic hot and somehow restless and unbalanced. The sour-musty note bothers me. Had really better in the direction. 84 points
- Blind tasting Advent Calendar Brühler Whisky House 2018 - No. 11
Dark mahogany - great color.
A dry, spicy sweetness in the nose. Sherry. Dried fruits. But something else - probably. a port wine barrel?
Pure on the palate, very soft, sweet. Raisins, figs, dates, cherry. After some time in the air vinous aromas in the nose. Grapes, tannins.
Midway finish. Light oak. The spicy sweetness stays behind.
- Full cargo of dark components, but the Brennereicharakter goes into it, if you suspect that it could be a Glenrothes ...
