    Enthusiasm: Nose 4/5 Mouth and finish 5/5 Whisky n ° 1730
    • Nose
Nice fruit jam, honey, peach. It's fresh ! More summer than autumnal! Ah yes: sherry, slightly dusty malt. Aromatic herbs, caramel, marshmallow, leather. With a little water, more fragrant. We have macadamia nut. There are things going on!
    • Taste
Rich, creamy, melted. Almost shy to attack, it takes an incensed breadth. The spices grow magnificently and forcefully, take up all the space without ever crushing the rest!
With water, we have a more frank attack, the mouth is more homogeneous in terms of power. What a presence!
    • Finish
Fresh and cooked fruits, old cognac. Oily. Beautiful.

With water it gets creamier and fizzy, I think it is better neat when the flavours are more compact.

A good Glengoyne that has aged well.
    • Nose
The nose is prickly with the alcohol with some caramel notes , rum & raisin, ripe plum and fruit cake.

After a while there are few orange notes.
    • Taste
Rich and full bodied on orange and dark chocolate fizz, the dark chocolate adds a few sharp bitter notes.

Some dry biscuit notes emerge amongst forest fruit notes mixed in with almond and other nuts.

Seems to get creamier on more notes of caramel
    • Finish
      Quite long and warming.

According to the Distillery (via twitter) it was bottled in 2002. It`s age therefore is most likely 32 years (or 33 if bottled dry late in the year).
