Whisky Reviews for Glen Scotia Victoriana
6 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 85.80 points
- Quite a decent drop, this.
- Overall very good and balanced, more complex than 15yo.
Good fruit, hot cereal (brioches?), Fresh grass, a pinch of mint, the high alcohol content is not perceived in the least
Light body, fresh and clean, with fruits, spices and a little icing sugar. Even in the mouth the alcohol is not perceived despite the 51.5 degrees
Long, sweet, honey and vanilla mixed
- Nice classic puristic malt
Very nice ex-Bourben barrel fruit aromas that are not quite as bright anymore, it remains with the grape note. In addition, there are more and more the dry Olloroso note with the grassy herbs, great and interesting
The 51.5 ABV give the Victoriana a nice start but not without flavors, great charring flavors paired with the fruitiness, seaweed and nuts give the whole really character
The finish becomes a bit more barrel-heavy and has the heavily burnt-out aromas again, the nutty gets through well and you even think you can taste some leather
