Good, very masculine, with the kind of peat that I like. A little too alcoholic on the palate, but with water you can manage it better. Absolutely to be smelled smooth and enjoyed with water.
    • Nose
The nose initially feels only the smoky component, which does not so much reminiscent of smoke, but rather a slice of bacon, ash, then you feel some bread, sea air, a little licorice, the alcohol is felt but it is widely bearable. With water it becomes softer, but always very smoky.
    • Taste
In the mouth the alcohol explodes, really difficult to manage, the body is also very dry and very tannic, it tastes of burnt flesh and bitter licorice. Better with water, alcohol is felt much less and the tannic component disappears, a lot of licorice.
    • Finish
      Long, ashy finish, still licorice.

A young but unexpectedly rich malt, not at all banal and capable of entertaining.
    • Nose
      88 88
Very marine, so much so that you can close your eyes and almost believe you are on the ocean shore. Peat is a polite, fleshy and herbaceous presence but without overdoing it, softened by a sweet and fruity profile of vanilla and ripe banana. And... mushrooms?
    • Taste
      87 87
On the palate, the embers have been stirred and bring the ash component back to the foreground, without neglecting that sweet and (almost) delicate aspect found on the nose that not even the remarkable gradation can break. Next to the herbaceous and smoky peat, in a peculiar balance given the youth of the whisky, you can still find vanilla, yellow fruit and sweet malt. Pepper. Oily and full, without edges.
    • Finish
      83 83
The finish is long, used ashtray with malt and dried fruit.
