Whisky Reviews for Glen Ord 1989 DL

3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.13 points

  1. MaltMartin scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

Not a very well balanced whisky (too much citrus fruit), but an enjoyable dram for a Sunny sunday late afternoon though.
    • Nose
Lots of citrus fruit. Lemon and grapefruit. Quite alcoholic in the nose.
    • Taste
Fresh and clean. Estery. Peel-zest. Paprika and mint. Some pepper as well.
    • Finish
Lomg and lingering. The sweet citrus fruit remains for a long time.

  2. PierreDH scored this whisky 84 points Expert Junior

    • Nose
Acid at first glance, apple cider vinegar. Becomes rounder with aeration, softer also A little grenadine. Flagrant lack of expressiveness.
    • Taste
      Dry, astringent, hot.
    • Finish
A little dried fruit, milk chocolate.

  3. Lafroy scored this whisky 82 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
      Light dryness, white currants, grapefruit
peel, melon, wet sand on the beach, hints of mint, and gooseberry.
    • Taste
White currant with sugar, hot sweetness, light
wine, gooseberry, dried grapefruit peel, cream pudding cake with sour cream.
    • Finish
      Very long, hot, creamy, semidry.
