    ● The dress.
Gray gold, slow and wide tears.

    ● The nose.
Very root, gentian and grapefruit skin, Asian pomelos, grapefruit seed, yuzu and new wood on a sweet vanilla. Beyond is revealed the lilac and the honeysuckle.
    Anise and verbena.
    That it's fresh.

    ● The mouth.
New wood and pink pepper, again the Asian pomelos, seed and peel of pink grapefruit, lemon confit and anise, verbena and sage, violet, lilac and honey of flowers.
    From the minerality: Crystalline.

    ● The final.
Long on grapefruit and its glitch.

    Great. Fresh, tangy and medical.
I love it, flanked by citrus fruits for my greatest pleasure.

If it had to be given a subjective rating, it would be a 90.

Very good for 7 year old. The finish isn't on the same level as nose and taste, but that's just a very minor flaw.
    • Nose
      88 88
Fresh, very fruity, floral and chalky. Lots of citrus (lemon, lime), yellow apple, pineapple, peach, honey and vanilla. Also a bit waxy, some mint and a whiff of nuttiness.
    • Taste
      87 87
Quite a creamy mouthfeel, sweet orchard fruits, apple, pear, bitter oranges, lemons, honey and sweet grain notes, a little white pepper.
    • Finish
      85 85
Medium length: short on the sweet fruit notes, then grainy and quite peppery with a mild bitterness. I'd have to say the young age does show up here.

A very mature achievement for old age!
With delicious apples, pears and walnut-almond butter on the nose, a sweet, spicy-strong honey taste in the mouth and a rich oiliness that lingers in the finish with lush fruit. Shortly before 88 P.

A little bit impetuous, but really fantastic for its age - great barrel selection!
One would blindly estimate it to be at least 15 years.

  7. Donwaldorf scored this whisky 90 points Expert Senior

A young Ben Nevis perfectly mastered. One of the best value for money of 2018 in my eyes. Very few flaws despite its young age. It surely lacks complexity, but when you like, what can be done basically.
    • Nose
Fruit basket with its vanilla pod and acacia honey.
It has a very smooth, creamy yogurt side.
    • Taste
Alcohol is perfectly integrated. In the continuity of the nose it is fruity, vanilla, honey with in addition some sweet spices.
As expected, the whole is smooth and covers the whole mouth well.
    • Finish
Nice length on fruits, vanilla, oak and some sweet spices ....

  10. whisky_garage scored this whisky 88 points Expert Junior

Aroma: Sweetish. Vanilla, confectionery, kurabie cookies, citrus peel. In the background there are coniferous - herbal notes, spices.

Taste: Sweet. Vanilla, honey notes, lemonade, citrus, a little herb, ginger.

Finish: Long lasting, sweet. Vanilla, citrus, pine needles, ginger.

Conclusion: The classic representative of bourbon aging, everything seems to be as it should be, but there is not enough zest. Poor in derivatives, shades, halftones
